在看过暴雪的demo演示视频之后很多人都在猜测枪兵是否有一个类似War3中人族步兵一样的举盾技能。在儿童节当天暴雪官方论坛中暴雪工作人员终于证实了这一消息。
Drysc称：At this time, the Marine will be appearing as the classic standalone unit, but with a defensive upgrade they will then wield the arm-mounted shields. Again, please keep in mind that this is a work in progress and nothing is final at this point.
就目前而言，枪兵将表现为传统的单兵作战单位（可能要和可爱的medic说白白了——译者猜测），但他们拥有防御技能升级选项，升级之后的枪兵能挥舞装备在手臂上的盾牌。再说一次，请务必记住，目前工作依然处于进展中，所以关于这一点（枪兵盾牌）尚无任何最终定论。
